7:00- Meeting called to session by Club President Steve Persampieri
Meeting with sponsors is our very important mission right now. We have
got to go visit with these companies and make some good contacts.
Blue water props have gone out of business. Someone needs to go to
Strike Zone (Steve), Wild West Pawn, Thrifty Outdoors (Dwayne),
Arlington bait & Tackle.
We lost so much money last year on the banquet that we have got to find ways
to cut back this year and save. Some suggestions being made are to cut back on the
1st-10th place payout. This will knock over $1500.off there. We also have decided
to have it at Mudville witch cut the facility fee. Any other ideas??
We are not have a D.J. or flowers so those are two more items we are saving on.
Do we have trophies & plaques ordered? B.J. had 2 proposals that were both around
$700. For all. It was said that was too much money so Mike Davis will get a bid from
last years trophy supplier. (AAA trophy)
We have to decide on what to get the teen angler and Junior angler also. We can do
a rod & reel for the teen angler.....it was brought to the attention of the board that
we had a Three way tie for the TEEN ANGLER and 1 Junior angler.
Steve proposed there not being enough money in the budget to supply 3 rod & reel
combos for the Teens so Fred Wilson gave a monetary amount to buy 1 combo
and Jim Price stated he would give up his plaque for the money to go towards the
kids awards and the other guys followed with the same statement. Dwayne Taylor
also stated that this is a FAMILY club and the kids should be rewarded for their efforts
no matter what.
Steve suggested that when Dwayne goes to Thrifty Outdoors that he also get a price
from them for 3 combos. Steve would also get in contact with Krissi from embroider me
to see about getting the Shirts & Hats done for the winners.
Don=t forget we still have the issue of the 3 beats 2 beats 1 in our tournaments. Mike Davis
will be putting this in writing and getting it proposed to the club.
We have to get a final count list to Maggie ASAP for the banquet...
