7:10 pm – Meeting called to order by President Steve Persampieri .
Tonight’s guest speaker is Captain Noel Kuhn from the Florida surf casters.
Capt. Noel spoke to club about catching whiting & pompano and gave many good
tips on what baits to use. (shrimp, sand fleas, clams) Capt. Noel also gave helpful
hints on gaining distance when casting by dropping your line diameter.
7:55 pm- Break time
8:10 pm meeting resumed with Capt. Noel Kuhn introducing techniques for gaining more
distance when casting by changing your stance and how you use your arms and wrists when
delivering your cast. The Florida surf casters meet the 2nd Monday of every month at
the Cracker Barrel on JTB. Anyone interested can come, dues are $38 annually.
8:22 pm – President Steve Persampieri called vote for club officers.
President position voted on and passed for Steve Persampieri to retain
The position.
Vice President position voted on and passed for Ben Crews.
Secretary position voted on and passed for B.J. Taylor.
Tournament Director position voted on and passed for Bobby McMillan.
Member Chair Person voted on and passed for Mike Davis.
Jimmy Price came forward to discuss our last tournament for the year. A 3 whiting
boat tournament. Winner will have most TOTAL weight. Start time will be at 6:45am
or first safelight there after.
Last months Trout tournament winner was Fred Wilson with 3.54
Steve Persampieri: Please remember the banquet is in February and the $20 per person
Cost is due asap, preferably by the January meeting.
